What to expect

You'll journey through Santiago del Teide, a highland village of whitewashed homes. In Icod de Los Vinos, you'll admire the centuries-old dragon tree, with some free time to wander around the town. Garachico – often called the ‘prettiest and unluckiest' – awaits with some interesting history. Devastated by a volcanic eruption in 1706 and rebuilt on its lava, it's now famous for natural lava pools, guarded by a volcanic rock castle, where locals and visitors alike come to bathe.

When it's time to take a break, there's a tasty local lunch, served in a family-run restaurant in a traditional finca. Teno Rural Park showcases the island's rich biodiversity and is known as the source of Tenerife's top-quality natural produce. You'll even get to try some locally made marmalades and jams, all produced with a minimum carbon footprint. Felt tour tried to cram too much in. We had such a short time - 45 minutes - Masca that we couldn't see all the village which was a pity as it looked so beautiful. Same applied to the visit to Garrachio a lovely village with lots to explore but 45 minutes simply was not sufficient time. We could have could have done without visit to wine tasting.

Der Ausflug an sich hat sich gelohnt. Allerdings war das Kolonne fahren mit 6 Kleinbussen teilweise etwas nervig. Ein Bus kam zu Beginn der Tour erheblich zu spät. Bei einer Sehenswürdigkeit kam dann ein Gast aus einem anderen Bus erheblich zu spät. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten haben sich gelohnt. Verglichen mit einer anderen Tagestour fanden wir den Guide weniger kompetent, es gab wenig Informationen über die Tour hinaus. Auch zum Mittagessen gab es nur ein Fleischgericht zur Auswahl.

Nothing I didn’t enjoy. It was an excellent day trip. All the staff and guides were very friendly, helpful and professional. It was a great experience. Recommended.

The tour, the guide and the driver get my top grade but the chicken on the menu was awful and it seemed that most people were not keen on the flan.
